May 2008
Hello web visitors!
May should be a great month to be outdoors. The recent cold snaps of April has delayed some bedding activity in certain freshwater fish and hopefully the weather will stay warm for a while now. The new moon may be the magic button this month.
On the saltwater side of things, there are many tournament opportunities in May. Cobia fishing should be good and everything offshore should be in full swing.
Make sure you check out Scott Jordon’s feature article this month on Tripletail and also, my personal favorite, is Weird Ways to Catch Crappie by John Phillips. We’ve also begun a series of articles about Dream Hunts that every hunter will enjoy. Of course, pages and pages of other great articles, recipes, events, photos and charts will keep you informed and entertained.
The May issue of GDO Magazine contains a record setting 112 pages! We’ve added many new features over the past several months. Our circulation has almost doubled since just a year ago! With all the growth comes new challenges every day. In an economy that’s on a down turn and gas prices skyrocketing, we are still moving forward in our effort to give you the best magazine in Alabama.
And, you can still subscribe during the month of May for the same old rates! As low as $1.19 per month with a 3-year subscription. So don’t delay. Prices for subscriptions will have to increase in June.
Have a great day outdoors!
