Well it's that time of year, in between deer and turkey hunting, to take a look at your boat if you haven't been using it regular. Most gas these days has some ethanol and that doesn't sit well in an outboard. If you haven't run your motor in the last month or so you might want to check your fuel/water separator (ethanol holds moisture) and maybe even replace your fuel filter (cleaning it will NOT do). Run your motor on the waterhose for at least 15 minutes to help break up any varnish that may have built up.
Check all your safety gear for expiration dates. For those that take safety to the next level you might want to check out a new safety device called the "auto tether" great system that can save your life (we've installed one on ALL our boats). Like to see it really work, stop by the office and I'll be glad to show you.
Sorry couldn't leave without saying "Make sure your Sea Tow membership is up to date". Then you can relax and go chase that gobbler knowing that the boat and you are ready to fish should the weather cooperate or you just get the urge. We wish you clear skies, light breezes and calm seas.
